Municipality of Utrecht: registering with the municipality for a short stay

• Bring your valid identity card and the registration form you filled out in advance (available in 15 languages).
• Minors up to 16 years of age: bring the child's original birth certificate and a valid form of identification showing the parents' details. A foreign birth certificate must meet the legalization requirements of the Ministry of Home Affairs. In some cases, you may need to have the birth certificate translated.

Make an appointment online or by phone. You cannot come by without an appointment.

In a group: make an appointment for each person separately.
Minors under the age of 16: at least 1 of the parents and the child will come to the appointment.

Registration in the RNI is free of charge.

The municipality will enter you in the RNI during the appointment. You will immediately receive your Burgerservicenummer – BSN (citizen service number).
