Municipality of Barendrecht: registering the ending of a civil partnership in the civil registry
You can terminate your registered partnership through the court or with an agreement with a notary or lawyer. The termination is only final once it has been recorded in the municipal registry.
You can end your registered partnership:
- Via dissolution: the same procedure applies as for divorce. You ask a lawyer to submit a request to the court to terminate your partnership.
- Via termination by mutual consent: you draw up an agreement with your partner and have it signed by a lawyer or notary.
As soon as your termination of registered partnership has been arranged, you or your lawyer will report this to the municipality.
