Municipality of Westerwolde: deregistering from the municipality in the event of a long stay outside the Netherlands
Are you moving abroad? Or will you be living abroad for at least 8 months? Please make an appointment no more than 5 days before departure. Your moving date cannot be in the past
What is necessary to know
- You can only report the move abroad for yourself and family members living at home
- Is there a family member remaining at the address? In that case, you will need to come to the town hall with all the family members that are leaving. This also applies to minors
- All persons accompanying you must bring proof of identity (passport or ID card).
- You will have to indicate the country you are going to and your first address in that country
- If asked, you will receive proof of de-registration.
Reporting a change of address is free of charge.
- Reporting by email or post: 5 working days.
- Reporting at the service desk: processed immediately by the municipality.
