Municipality of Olst-Wijhe: deregistering from the municipality in the event of a long stay outside the Netherlands

If everyone moves abroad from the same address, you can report this in writing. This can be done by:

• yourself, if you are 16 years or older;
• parent, guardian or caregiver for minor children;
• cohabiting spouses / registered partners for each other;
• cohabiting parents and adult children for each other.

Are people staying behind at your current address in the Netherlands?

Then the people who leave abroad must report to us personally.  This also applies to minors. Departure declaration by an authorized representative is not possible.

To pass on your emigration, we need from you:

• in which country you will stay;
• what is your first address (with city name)
• the date you move;
• a copy of your valid identification.

You report to the municipality within 5 days before your departure. If you do not declare emigration, we can impose a fine on you.

Reporting a move is free of charge.

Do you need proof of deregistration?

There are costs associated with this.

• Reporting by email or post: 5 working days.
• Reporting at the service desk: processed immediately by the municipality.
