Please note: You can only report your move abroad if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.
- Are you moving abroad alone? You can report your departure online.
- If your entire family is not moving abroad, you must report your departure in writing or in person at the municipal office.
Online
You can report your departure online on the day of your move. You will need eIDAS to do this.
In person
Do you want to report the departure of yourself and your family in person? Please make an appointment first. Bring a valid form of identification to your appointment.
At the appointment, you must provide your new address, if known. You must always state the country where you will be living.
You can report the departure of the following people at the same time as your own:
- your spouse;
- your registered partner;
- your children;
- your parents.
These individuals must be registered at the same address as you. Do you have a cohabitation agreement? In that case, you and your partner must report your departure abroad separately.
- Submitting via online form: takes 5 working days.
- Submitting at the counter: processed immediately by the municipality.
