Municipality of Nieuwkoop: deregistering from the municipality in the event of a long stay outside the Netherlands

You must personally go to the municipality to notify us of your departure. When departing abroad, you are obliged to file a declaration within five days before your departure from the Netherlands. Therefore, schedule an appointment within five working days before your departure. All accompanying children must be present. The date on which the declaration was received is the official date of departure from the Netherlands.

Reporting a move is free of charge.

• Reporting at the service desk: processed immediately by the municipality.
