Municipality of Culemborg: deregistering from the municipality in the event of a long stay outside the Netherlands
If you are going to live abroad for at least 8 months of a year, you will emigrate. You must report this to the municipality where you live.
Please note: you can report that you are moving outside the Netherlands only if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.
You must notify the municipality of your emigration a maximum of 5 days in advance.
- The names and dates of birth of family members who immigrate with you
- Your old address
- Your new address
- The date of emigration
You can report your emigration online if all residents of the address are going to emigrate at the same time. Do you live with several people at one address and not everyone goes with you? Then everyone who does go with you must visit the municipality in person. This also applies to children under the age of 18.
Who can report an emigration?
- Anyone who is 16 years of age or older;
- Parents, guardians or guardians for children under the age of 16;
- Parents for their adult child or children living at home (only if parents and children living at home move abroad together);
- Cohabiting spouses or registered partners for each other (only if spouses and partners move abroad together);
- Adult children for co-resident parent(s) (only if adult cohabiting children and parent(s) move abroad together);
- The trustee for a person who has been placed under guardianship.
It is not possible to declare a move abroad by an authorized representative.
