Municipality of Boekel: deregistering from the municipality in the event of a long stay outside the Netherlands
Please note: you can report that you are moving outside the Netherlands only if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.
- Are you moving outside the Netherlands on your own? If so, you can report your departure online.
- Is your entire family moving outside the Netherlands? If so, you must report your departure to the municipality in writing or at its service desk.
Online
You can report your departure online on the day of your move. You need your DigiD to do this. https://www.boekel.nl/inwoners-en-ondernemers/verhuizing-en-migratie/verhuizen-naar-het-buitenland
In writing
You can only report that you are moving by post if all the members of your family are moving with you.
Write a signed letter stating your old and (if known) new address.
The letter must specify:
- the country in which you are going to live;
- the date of your departure;
- a clear signature (not initials).
Send this letter together with a copy of your identity document to Postbus 99,
5427 ZH Boekel. Or email all the documents to info@boekel.nl
At the service desk
Do you want to report the departure of you and your family at the service desk? First make an appointment via https://www.boekel.nl/afspraak/. Bring a valid form of identification to your appointment.
You must specify your new address at the appointment, if already known. You must always specify the country in which you will be living.
You can report the departure of the following people at the same time as you report your own:
- your husband or wife;
- your civil partner;
- your children;
- your parents.
Those persons must be registered with you at the same address.
Do you have a samenlevingscontract (cohabitation agreement)? If so, you and your partner must report the departure outside the Netherlands separately.
Reporting a move is free of charge.
- Reporting by email or post: 5 working days.
- Reporting at the service desk: processed immediately by the municipality.
Objection
If you do not agree with this decision, you can submit a notice of objection. You need to do this within six weeks from the date on which the decision was sent.
You must send your notice of objection to:
College of mayor and aldermen
Postbus 99
5427 ZH Boekel
In the notice of objection you need to mention:
- The date on which you write your notice;
- Your name and address;
- With which decision you disagree;
- The reasons on which you disagree with the decision.
The notice of objection must bear you signature.
Submitting a notice of objection does not suspend the decision. This means the decision, against which you lodge a complaint, will have effect during the procedure of objection.
Urgent?
If you think the decision needs to be changed quickly to prevent irreversible consequences you can apply for provisional relief with the administrative court. This is an emergency procedure in which the judge can take measures to prevent irreversible consequences. To apply for provisional relief you need to pay a court fee. If you wish to apply for provisional relief you also need to send a letter to the preliminary relief judge of the Court ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Postbus 90125, 5200 MA ’s-Hertogenbosch.
