Municipality of Zaanstad: applying for youth care for your child
A youth team supports young people and their families with problems in growing up or upbringing. The basis is that the family can arrange their own lives (again). The youth teams work together as 1 team. For example, youth care in Zaanstad can be used more effectively and there is more cohesion in the provision of youth care. By merging specialized knowledge within the youth teams, there is more unity in their offer.
Do you have a request for help? You can sign up at:
- Centrum Jong (Youth and Family Centre): for questions or problems in the family about, for example, parenting, growing up and divorces
- the Social District Team: questions or problems in the family about for example debts, addictions, unemployment
- the GP: for medical problems
- the teacher at school: for example, for bullying or other undesirable behavior at school
Centrum Jong (Youth and Family Centre) and the Social District Team work together with the Youth Team and ensure that every child and family receives the right help. In difficult situations, for example psychological or behavioral problems, they can refer to the youth team. You can therefore only join a youth team after a referral.
In some cases, you may have to pay an ouderbijdrage (parental contribution).
