Municipality of Westland: applying for youth care for your child
Please note: you can only apply for youth support if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.
Do you have concerns about your child? Or is your family not doing well? The Sociaal Kernteam Westland (SKT) provides step by step assistance. You will have one fixed point of contact: the care coordinator (zorgregisseur). Together, you will create an action plan. If necessary, the care coordinator provides assistance themselves and/or arranges specialist help.
Youth care can take place in various ways:
- ambulatory: youth care takes place where you and your child feel comfortable. For example, at home, at school, or during leisure activities
- on-site: youth care takes place at the location of the youth care organization
- residential: in some cases, it is better to stay (temporarily) elsewhere. For example, if more specialized care is needed that cannot be provided at home
Does your child have psychological problems such as anxiety and excessive worrying? Then youth mental health care (youth GGZ) can provide assistance. The Social Core Team (SKT) can refer you to them.
You can call the Social Core Team Westland on weekdays from 09:30 to 13:00. If you need urgent contact, you can do so until 17:00. In that case, call 14 0174. Alternatively, you can fill out a contact form, and someone will get in touch with you.
In some cases, you may have to pay an ouderbijdrage (parental contribution).
