Municipality of West Betuwe: applying for youth care for your child

You can only apply for youth assistance if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.
Would you like to apply for youth assistance for your child? The municipality offers social assistance together with a team. You are in control and discuss with the consultant what care you need.
Ambulatory youth care
Ambulatory youth care is help that is provided at home. This is temporary help with the education of the children. The target group are families that are out of balance, for example because they have to deal with behavioral problems of the child.
Youth mental health care
Youth mental health care (GGZ) is there to offer help if your child is confronted with a psychological disorder or complaints.
Care for youth with disabilities
Care for youth with a disability concerns children with, for example, a (mild) intellectual disability, a sensory disability (such as blind, visually impaired or deaf), a physical disability (including non-congenital brain injury), a chronic illness, a psychiatric disorder or a developmental language disorder.
Foster care
Foster care is care outside the family. It means that a child temporarily goes to live with another family.
Healthcare providers with contract
You can use the care purchased by the municipality. For this you need a referral from: the Social Team or the general practitioner; or a certified institution; or a medical specialist such as a paediatrician.
