Municipality of Montferland: applying for youth care for your child
Youth Assistance is support for young people up to 18 (or 21-23) and their parents or guardians.
Youth Assistance consists of things like:
- Guidance for disabled children and young people
- Parenting support within families
- Mental health care for children and young people
- Youth protection and rehabilitation
You can look for help in several ways. The Youth Social Team (Sociaal team Jeugd): answers requests for help from young people and/or their parents and provides short-term help and support. Where necessary, the Social Team provides access to second-line youth assistance. The municipality has made agreements with healthcare providers for this. You can also seek help through the Regelhulp website: a guide to care, support, youth assistance and financial arrangements in cases of sickness or disability.
