Municipality of Houten: applying for youth care for your child

Notice. You can only apply for youth aid if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

Do you want to apply for youth aid for your child? The Center for Youth and Family Houten offers information, advice and parenting support to parents. The Social Team offers youth assistance and can refer to specialized youth assistance, such as the psychologist or intensive help in the home situation.

Care providers with a contract

You can make use of care purchased by the municipality. For this you need a referral from:

  • Center for Youth and Family;
  • Or the general practitioner;
  • Or a certified institution;
  • Or a medical specialist such as a pediatrician.

The Center for Youth and Family Houten offers information, advice and parenting support to parents. The Social Team offers youth assistance and can refer to specialized youth assistance, such as the psychologist or intensive help in the home situation.

Fortunately, most children and youth are doing well, but sometimes a youth needs temporary extra support while growing up or raising a child. When there are concerns, the professional (for example, a social worker, teacher or youth doctor) can issue a signal in the Referral Index.

Requesting a personal budget

In some cases, you may have to pay an ouderbijdrage (parental contribution).
