Municipality of Dronten: applying for youth care for your child

Everyone has a question about care, work, parenting, or growing up that can't be answered immediately. Often, family, friends, or neighbors can help find a solution. Sometimes that's not possible, and professional support is needed. This support could include youth services for your child or family.

Here is an overview of youth services providers in the municipality of Dronten.

Youth care is available for young people up to 18 years old and their families. Youth care supports children with disabilities or mental health disorders, such as autism or an eating disorder. Young people who are bullied or have performance anxiety can also benefit from youth care. Parents are also supported with questions. This often restores balance to the family.

You can request youth support from a youth support worker from the municipality of Dronten. The support worker will work with you to find the right support for your family. To register for youth support, email jeugd@dronten.nl.
Please include the following in your email:

a brief description of your request for support;

what specific challenges you are facing (possibly with examples);

the completed questionnaire;

contact information where you can be reached.

A youth support worker will then contact you shortly about your request for support.

Once you have spoken with a youth support worker and youth support is being provided, the young person will be registered in ESAR. ESAR is a secure online system for professionals who work with young people up to the age of 23. When a child needs support as they grow up, sometimes multiple professionals are involved simultaneously. It is important that they know each other so they can work together to provide the right support for each child. The goal of ESAR is to connect these professionals. If multiple professionals are supporting the same child or family, they will be notified. This allows them to easily coordinate the child and family's needs.

If you have any questions, please contact the youth guide for more information.

In some cases, you may have to pay an ouderbijdrage (parental contribution).
