Municipality of Aalsmeer: applying for youth care for your child
Is your child experiencing problems at home or at school? Or are you worried about your child? If so, there are a variety of places in Aalsmeer where you can go for advice and support. If you need further assistance and you are registered in Aalsmeer, you can apply for specialised youth care via the municipality.
Preventive youth care
With preventive care you can get help quickly and without a referral. And in most cases, your question(s) will be answered and resolved. In the Overview of Services for Youth and Family (in Dutch), you will find organisations that help parents and their children (aged from 0 to 23 years old) in Aalsmeer. These organisations provide assistance in the areas of exercise, well-being, mental health, finances, and general advice. You can visit them without a referral and usually free of charge.
Youth care via the municipality
Youth care (jeugdhulp) concerns more complex issues. For this you need a referral from the municipality. Our youth care workers provide access to care according to the guidelines laid down in the Youth Act (Jeugdwet). Please note: there are waiting lists, which means that you cannot be helped immediately.
You can apply for youth care online. You won´t need a DigiD.

In some cases, you may have to pay a parental contribution (ouderbijdrage). For more information on this, please see the municipality´s website.
The municipality will send you a confirmation of receipt in which we also explain the steps that will be taken. If necessary, we will contact you for additional information. We will then let you know how things proceed and what options are available.
