Municipality of Oisterwijk: applying to get married
Are you getting married or registering a partnership in our municipality? Then inform us in advance of the date, place, wedding officiant and the names of the witnesses. This can be done 1 year up to 2 weeks before the wedding date. You arrange this online by logging in together with DigiD.
Report marriage or partnership
You report your marriage or partnership to the municipality. In the form you arrange some things with us in advance.
Choose a date
Tell us the date on which you want to get married. In the online form you can look up whether your desired wedding date is still available.
Choose a wedding officiant
To conclude your marriage or registered partnership, you may choose one of our wedding officiants. You may also bring a wedding officiant from another municipality. This person must be sworn in and appointed as a BABS. You also need to send us a number of documents.
Choose witnesses
At least 2 and a maximum of 4 witnesses must be present at the ceremony. Enter the names of these witnesses in the online form. Also make sure to upload an ID of the witnesses.
Choose a wedding location
You can get married in the town hall or in one of the other official wedding locations in the municipality of Oisterwijk.
Would you like to choose your own location that we will designate as a wedding location for 1 time? That is also possible.
Get married for free
- You can get married free of charge or enter into a free registered partnership on Tuesday at 9.00 or 9.30 a.m.
- The ceremony lasts about 15 minutes
- Only the bride/partners and witnesses are present
- The marriage/partnership is at the counter (number 7) in the municipal office
- You cannot choose a wedding officiant
Administrative marriage

An administrative marriage or registered partnership can be performed on Fridays at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The ceremony lasts approximately 20 minutes

A maximum of 10 people may be present, excluding bride and groom

The marriage is in the town hall in a smaller room

You may park 1 car for free in front of the town hall

An extraordinary civil registrar concludes the marriage

Converting a registered partnership into a marriage
Do you have a registered partnership but want to convert it into a marriage? Then you can fill out the online form to convert a registered partnership into a marriage. You both need to log in with your DigiD.
