Municipality of Moerdijk: applying to get married

You register your marriage with the municipality, providing all the details about yourself, your partner and your witnesses. This can be done up to 2 weeks before the wedding date. You can do it online or at the town hall.

Arrange directly online

Register your marriage or registered partnership online with DigiD: online registration . The report requires a digital copy (pdf) of the (valid) proof of identity of you, your partner and all witnesses.

• Take:
  • Original valid proof of identity for you and your partner
  • Copies of valid proof of identity of the witness(es).

Check the website in advance and choose a wedding location, wedding official and marriage booklet.

Married to a non-Dutch national or did you live abroad?

Always contact the Civil Affairs department of the municipality before submitting the report online ! Often additional documents are required. For example, if you were born abroad, if you lived there or were divorced there. Or if you do not have Dutch nationality. Do this well in advance of the date of your marriage or partnership to avoid disappointment.
