Municipality of Hof van Twente: applying to get married
Do you want to formally settle the relationship with your partner? Then there are two possibilities:
- a civil marriage (marriage);
- or a civil partnership.
You enter into a marriage/civil partnership with a marriage officer of the civil registry. You can do this at the town hall or at another wedding location of your choice. At the latest 14 days before your marriage/registered partnership is concluded, you must submit a notification to the civil registrar.

You must notify the registrar of your intended civil partnership online via the notification form of a marriage/registered partnership. After sending the notification form you will receive a written confirmation of your booking/notification within three working days. If there are any questions, you will be contacted by telephone.
You should also contact the Civil Affairs department about your wedding date. This prevents the desired date for a wedding or partnership from being fully booked. The Civil Affairs department can be reached by telephone on +31 547 - 85 85 85.
