Municipality of Zeist: applying for special social assistance

You can apply for special social assistance from the municipality if:

• you incurred the costs in the Netherlands;
• the costs are caused by special or urgent circumstances;
• the costs cannot be postponed;
• you cannot be reimbursed for the costs in any other way, for example through health insurance or individual income supplement;
• you do not have sufficient income or equity;
• the costs are demonstrably unexpected and necessary.

The RSD will send you a letter within 8 weeks. It will state whether you will receive special social assistance and how much you will receive. It will also state whether it is in the form of a loan or of a non-repayable allowance.
