Municipality of Oldenzaal: applying for special social assistance

Please note: you can apply for bijzondere bijstand (special social assistance) only if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

You can apply for special social assistance from the municipality if you:

  • live in the municipality of Oldenzaal;
  • incurred the costs in the Netherlands.

What do I have to bring along?

In order to be able to assess whether you are entitled to special assistance, information is required about your personal situation. For example, about where, how and with whom you live. Information is also required about your financial situation, such as income, assets, savings, alimony and housing benefit. We advise you to bring all this information with you to the interview. This prevents us from being able to process your application. Don't forget your ID!
