Municipality of Aalsmeer: applying for special social assistance
You can apply for special assistance if you live in the municipality of Aalsmeer, have incurred the costs in the Netherlands and have not yet paid these costs.

The municipality uses income standards to determine whether you can receive special assistance. We look at your net monthly income including holiday pay. Benefits such as rent-, healthcare- and childcare allowance do not count. For more information, please see the municipality’s website.
- Your DigiD.
- A valid passport or identity card.
- Information about your (family) income and your own assets (such as house, car and savings).
- A copy of a bank card or bank statement with your name and account number.
- A quote or invoice for the special assistance costs that you are applying for.
The municipality will send you a letter within 8 weeks. It will state whether you will receive special social assistance and how much you will receive. The letter will also state whether you will receive special welfare assistance in the form of a loan or non-repayable allowance.
