You can apply for an Attestatie de vita (certificate of life) from the municipality where you live and are registered. You can only make the application yourself. Someone else cannot do it for you.
Making an appointment with the municipality
Important: you must sign the certificate of life at the counter, in the presence of an official. You must make an appointment online for this.
A certificate of life costs: € 16.60.
You will receive the certificate immediately.
