Municipality of Montferland: applying for an Attestatie de vita (Certificate of life)

An attestation de vita is an international certificate of proof of life. You must request an attestation de vita in person at the municipality.

If you are in the Netherlands, Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire, Sint Maarten, Sint Eustatius and Saba and need to prove that you are alive, you should not request an attestation de vita but a proof of life. 

You will receive your attestation de vita immediately.

  • Valid proof of identity;
  • If you are applying for an attestation de vita for a pension fund, you must also bring the letter in which you were asked for the attestation de vita with you.

You must request an attestation de vita in person at the municipality.
