What is the difference between a Proof of Living and Attestation de vita?
- A Proof of living is an extract from the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP) and can only be used in the Netherlands.
- The Attestation de vita is an international document used abroad. This certificate of civil status is in Dutch or French.

You need to come in person and get the certificate right away. Please make an appointment.
Bring with you
- Valid passport, ID card or driver's license.
- Bank card (you can only pay in cash at the Groningen Center).
