Municipality of Maastricht: apply for an exemption to access to a low emission zone

In the municipality of Maastricht, Statensingel is a milieuzone (low-emission zone). Trucks and delivery vans may only enter the low-emission zone if they have emission class 6 or higher. This also applies to vehicles with registration plates issued outside the Netherlands.

Exemption

In some cases, you can apply online for a day exemption to still have access streets in the the low-emission zone.

The municipality has various exemptions:

• dagontheffing (day exemption);
• ontheffing vanwege medische redenen (dispensation due to medical reasons);
• ontheffing vanwege financiële noodzaak (dispensation due to financial necessity);
• ontheffing vanwege levertijd andere auto (exemption due to delivery time of another car);
• ontheffing voor campers en kampeerwagens (dispensation for campers and camper vans); 
• ontheffing in bijzondere situaties (exemption in special situations).
