Municipality of Valkenswaard: registering with the municipality
Are you moving to or within the municipality of Valkenswaard? Then you must report this to the municipality of Valkenswaard.
- Report within 5 days: Do this no later than 5 days after you have moved. If you are late in reporting, it may affect things like housing allowance, student finance, your parking permit, municipal taxes, or benefits.
- Report in advance: You can also report your move earlier, up to 4 weeks before your moving date.
- Permission from the main resident is not necessary: The main resident will receive a notification of your registration. If necessary, permission can always be requested.
Moving out of Valkenswaard to another Dutch municipality? You do not need to report this to us. You must register within 4 weeks before or at the latest 5 days after your move in your new municipality. Your new municipality will then update your address in the Personal Records Database.
For a personal declaration, you need a valid ID.
- For room rental or private rental: provide a rental contract.
- For renting a pitch: provide a rental contract.
Additional documents may be requested if necessary.

If you authorize someone, the authorized person must bring a written authorization with your signature, a copy of your valid ID, and their own valid ID.

Are you moving to the Netherlands from abroad? In that case, you must make a personal declaration to the municipality within five days of your arrival. You have to make an appointment for this.
