Municipality of Oude IJsselstreek: registering with the municipality
If you are moving to the Netherlands, you have to register yourself in person. Please make an appointment to do so. Contact met de gemeente | Gemeente Oude IJsselstreek (oude-ijsselstreek.nl).
All family members who wish to be registered must accompany you when you register yourself. This includes babies, young children and elderly people.
Registration is free of charge. You have to pay for the costs of translating or legalising official documents that you may need.
The municipality will register you in the Basisregistratie Personen – BRP (Personal Records Database) during the actual appointment. You will receive a confirmation letter. You will receive your citizen service number (BSN) from the municipality by post within 3 weeks.
