Municipality of Noordwijk: registering with the municipality
Short stay
Are you going to live in the Netherlands for a period of no more than 4 months within a 6-month period? Then, when registering with the municipality you register as a non-resident. You will then be listed in the Non-residents Records Database (RNI). You can register at a municipality that has a desk for non-residents. This is called an RNI-loket.
Long stay
You must inform us of your move to the Netherlands in person within 5 days of arriving in the Netherlands. You can report your move at the service desk. First make an appointment. You can make an appointment online (in Dutch) or by phoning +31 71 36 60 000.
Bring to your appointment:
- A valid identity document for everyone who is to be registered (this cannot be a driving licence).
- A rental or purchase contract for your home or the consent of the main resident with whom you will be living.
- If you don't have a european nationality, an approval residence from the Immigratie- en Naturalisatiedienst (IND).
- Proof of de-registration if you are moving from another part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands: Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Saba or Sint Eustatius.
- All family members who wish to be registered.
- If you were born, married or divorced abroad, the following original documents:
- Your birth certificate and the birth certificates of your partner and/or children.
- Your marriage certificate or proof of civil partnership.
- Divorce papers.
- Acknowledgement parenthood of a child.
In some cases, your certificate or document will need to be legalised and/or translated. You can check whether this is the case for your country on netherlandsworldwide.nl.
Registration is free of charge.
