Municipality of Groningen: registering with the municipality
You must inform us of your move from abroad in person. You must make an appointment to do this.
- You come from abroad and will be living in the Netherlands for at least 4 months.
- You have an address in the municipality of Groningen
You will need to bring a few documents with you when you come to register. Bring these documents:
- valid passport or ID card
- birth certificate (if not previously registered)
- rental or purchase agreement.
Other documents can be necessary, depending on your situation. Please check the website of the municipality.
