Municipality of Rucphen: registering a divorce in the civil registry
Have you just been divorced? Has your marriage been dissolved? Have you dissolved or terminated your partnership? Then this must be registered within 6 months with the municipality where your marriage or partnership was concluded.

The municipality will register the court's decision with your marriage certificate or registered partnership certificate. The condition is that there is no longer any possibility of appeal against the decision and that both parties accept the decision.
After registration, your marriage or partnership is officially dissolved or terminated.

Registering your divorce with the municipality is free of charge. Do you need proof of the divorce? Then you will have to pay a fee for a copy or extract of the divorce certificate.
The municipality registers the divorce as soon as the documents are received. Only when the municipality registers the divorce in the civil registry is the divorce official.
