Municipality of Oudewater: registering a death
-You must register within 5 days of the death
-Only a funeral director or surviving relative can register a death
-The person died within the municipality of Oudewater
-Your passport or ID card.
-A doctor's statement of the death (A statement).
-A cause of death certificate (Model B).
-Personal data of the deceased.
-Possibly a marriage certificate.

Are you a relative?
Then you can make an appointment with the municipality.
Registering a death: free of charge
- As a surviving dependant, you receive the extract from the death certificate and the verlof tot begraven of cremeren (permission for burial or cremation) immediately.
- Funeral homes should receive the extract and any other documents on the same working day or, at the latest, the next working day.
