Municipality of Amersfoort: registering a death

A death is usually reported to the municipality by the funeral director. As a surviving relative (family or acquaintance) you may also make the declaration yourself. You do this at the Civil Affairs Department in the municipality where the person died. Do this as soon as possible.

Declaration by surviving dependants

You can register the death yourself. You must do this in the municipality where your loved one died. Make an appointment with the municipality of Amersfoort.
