Municipality of Rhenen: registering a birth
Inform the municipality directly (within 3 days) of the birth of your child. You can do so:
- At the service desk

If you register the birth of te child, please bring with you:
Valid ID
Not mandatory, but might be useful:
Statement from the doctor or midwife (due to the time of birth)
marriage booklet/partner registration booklet (to have the child credited)
And, if applicable:
Copy of acknowledgement of unborn child
Registering a birth is free of charge.
You pay a fee for a birth certificate. The costs are adjusted annually. Take a look at our website
