Municipality of Oldenzaal: registering a birth
Inform the municipality directly of the birth of your child. You can do so:

The father or co-mother must make a declaration. Can't the father or co-mother? Then the declaration must be made by:
- The mother from whom the child was born.
- Someone who was present at the birth.
- An inhabitant of the house where the child was born.
- The head of the institution (e.g. hospital) where the child was born.
For a birth registration you need:
- Valid ID;
- Your marriage certificate (if applicable);
- Copy of the certificate of recognition of an unborn child (if applicable);
- Copy of the deed of choice of name (if applicable);
- Possibly: written permission from the mother for recognition and (a copy of) her proof of identity statement from the Foundation donor data artificial insemination (if applicable)
Registering a birth is free of charge. A birth certificate costs: € 14,30.
