Municipality of Barneveld: registering a birth
Inform the municipality directly of the birth of your child. You can do so:
- Online
- At the service desk
You can only register the birth digitally if you have a midwife from:
- Midwives Barneveld Matea
- Midwives Aan de Laak
- Midwifery Practice Putten
- Practice de Oorsprong, Nijkerk
In all other cases, you cannot register the birth digitally. In that case, you must make an appointment to register the birth at the reception desk.
To register the birth digitally, log in with DigiD. Are there 2 parents? Then both parents must log in with DigiD.
For the digital registration, we ask you to send one or more attachments. Ensure you have the following ready as a digital file:
- Proof of birth (statement from a midwife or general practitioner) Optionally, the deed of acknowledgment or the deed of name selection Optionally (when there is an unknown donor): donor declaration
In the registration, we ask for the following information, among other things:
- Date of birth
- Time of birth
- Official first name (or official first names) of the child.
- This is the name that appears on official documents, such as a passport and identity card. Later, this name will also appear on school diplomas. The official first names may differ from the preferred name. You do not provide the preferred name to the municipality.
Registering a birth is free of charge. A birth certificate is not free of charge. For the most recent information about the costs call +31342495902.
