Municipality of Arnhem: registering a birth

Bring the following to the appointment:

• Valid proof of ID of the informant.
• A copy of the certificate of recognition if the child has already been recognised before birth.
• Marriage booklet or partnership booklet (if you have one).
• Within a marriage or registered partnership of two women, the co-mother can by law also become a mother. Please bring a statement from Stichting Donorgegevens.

Births can be registered at the counter only. For this, you have to make an online appointment.

The birth registration is free of charge. A copy of the birth certificate (a copy of the civil registry deed) costs € 15,70.
