Municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân: paying the waste collection charge

You pay the waste collection charge in the municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân. The waste levy is used to pay the costs for collecting and processing household waste. Do you pay waste collection charge? Then you are entitled to a vegetable, fruit and garden waste container and a container for residual waste. You pay waste tax once a year.

The amount of the waste collection charge varies per household. We differentiate between:

• a single-person household
• a multiple person household
• holiday home
• an extra container of residual waste.

Pay on time

Make sure that you pay on time. Otherwise you will have to pay a fine.

Relief

You can ask the municipality whether you are entitled to an exemption for paying part of the charge. That expemtion is referred to as kwijtschelding. Whether you are entitled to an exemption depends on your personal situation. You can apply for an exemption via the website (in Dutch).
