Municipality of Leiden: paying the waste collection charge

The waste collection charges are based on the number of people in your household.

The tax cooperation Belastingsamenwerking Gouwe-Rijnland handles the waste collection charges for the municipality. At hte beginning of the year you will recieve a letter stating the amount that you need to pay. The letter will salso explain how to pay and before which date.

You can ask the municipality whether you are entitled to an exemption for paying part of the charge. That expemtion is referred to as kwijtschelding. Whether you are entitled to an exemption depends on your personal situation. 

Apply for remission with tax cooperation Belastingsamenwerking Gouwe-Rijnland. The tax cooperation collects municipal taxes on behalf of the municipality.
