Municipality of Hardenberg: paying the waste collection charge

Please note. You only pay afvalstoffenheffing (waste disposal charges) if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

You pay the following waste collection charge in the municipality of Hardenberg:

Fixed + variable rate

You pay a fixed rate and a variable rate.

Fixed rate

If you can collect your biodegradable waste seperately, then you pay a fixed rate of € 170.

If you cannot collect it seperately then your fixed rate is € 149.

Variable rate

You can also pay a variable rate. This amount depends on the number of times you dispose of waste or have it collected. Alternatively, it may depend on the number of kilograms of waste. The more waste that you dispose of or the more often you dispose of it, the higher the variable rate.

  • Residual waste container, 240 liter: € 10,60
  • Residual waste container, 140 liter: € 6,50 
  • Residual waste container,  80 liter: € 3,60 
  • Residual waste container, 40 liter: € 2,18

Waste collection charge letter

The municipality will send you a letter stating how much you have to pay for waste disposal. It will also state how and by what date you must pay.

Pay on time

Make sure that you pay on time. Otherwise you will have to pay a fine.

Relief

You can ask the municipality whether you are entitled to an exemption for paying part of the charge. That expemtion is referred to as kwijtschelding. Whether you are entitled to an exemption depends on your personal situation. You can apply for an exemption via:
