Municipality of Gennep: paying the waste collection charge

In the municipality of Gennep, you pay a fixed rate based on the size of your parcel. You can also pay a variable rate. In addition, you pay a variable rate for emptying the containers each time. This rate depends on the size and type of container. If you do not have your own containers, you only pay a (higher) fixed amount, based on the number of people in your household.

Waste collection charge letter

Belastingsamenwerking Gemeenten en Waterschappen (BsGW) will send you a letter stating how much you have to pay for waste disposal. It will also state how and by what date you must pay.

Pay on time

Make sure that you pay on time. Otherwise you will have to pay a fine.

Relief

You can ask BsGW whether you are entitled to an exemption for paying part of the charge. That exemption is referred to as kwijtschelding. Whether you are entitled to an exemption depends on your personal situation.
