Municipality of Elburg: paying the waste collection charge

You pay the following waste collection charge in the municipality of  Elburg:

2026 rates

The following rates apply for 2026:

• The fixed part for 2026 has been set at € 183,74. This is the same for all households.
• The rate per emptying of the residual waste container has been set at € 8,00 per time.
• The rate for the underground waste container has been set at € 1,60 per time.

Waste collection charge letter

The municipality will send you a letter stating how much you have to pay for waste disposal. It will also state how and by what date you must pay.

Pay on time

Make sure that you pay on time. Otherwise you will have to pay a fine.

Remission

You can ask the municipality whether you are entitled to an exemption for paying part of the charge. That expemtion is referred to as remission. Whether you are entitled to an exemption depends on your personal situation. You can apply for an exemption via the application form 'Application Remission'.

If your application is pending, you will automatically receive a deferral of payment. We try to decide on your application within 3 months. If it is not possible to assess your application within this period, the municipality may extend the period once.
