The municipality will send you a letter stating how much you have to pay for waste disposal. It will also state how and by what date you must pay.

Pay on time

Make sure that you pay on time. Otherwise you will have to pay a fine.

Relief

You can ask the Belastingsamenwerking Oost-Brabant whether you are entitled to an exemption for paying part of the charge. That expemtion is referred to as kwijtschelding. Write a letter to BSOB. In the letter you put:

• your name;
• your address;
• the number of the assessment notice/WOZ decision;
• the type of tax you are objecting to;
• the date on which you object;
• the reason you object: why do you disagree?

There is no point in objecting to the rate. The rates are set by the city council.

If you object, you simply have to pay the bill. Does it later appear that you have paid too much? In that case, you will be refunded the overpaid amount.
