Municipality of Rijssen-Holten: paying tourist tax
Are you spending the night in a hotel or bed & breakfast in a municipality where you do not live? Then you must pay tourist tax (toeristenbelasting). This tax is included in the price of your overnight stay. You therefore pay it automatically.
- The tourist tax is per person, per night: € 1.15.
- The commuter tax is 0.213% of the amount you pay tax on. You never pay more than €820.
Do you disagree with the levy? We recommend that you first contact the municipality via [(0548) 85 48 54](tel:(0548) 854 805) or taxes@rijssen-holten.nl . Have you not been able to reach an agreement with one of our employees and would you still like to object? You can then object within 6 weeks of the date of the assessment or decision.
Make sure that you send your notice of objection within 6 weeks of the date stated on the assessment to the municipality of Rijssen-Holten, for the attention of the municipal tax officer. In any case, please state:
- name and address;
- date of the objection;
- to which you object;
- why you object;
- your signature;
- the telephone number where you can be reached during the day.
