Municipality of Bergen (L): paying tourist tax

Are you spending the night in a hotel or bed & breakfast in a municipality where you do not live? Then you must pay accommodation taxes (verblijfsbelasting), formerly known as tourist taxes (toeristenbelasting). This tax is included in the price of your overnight stay. You therefore pay it automatically, and it is usually listed separately on the invoice.
