Municipality of Weert: paying the sewage charge

Please note: you only have to pay  rioolheffing (sewage charge) if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

In determining the sewage charge, the municipality makes a distinction between a user and an owner of the property. The sewage charge therefore consists of an owner component and a user component. In addition, there is a rate for unbuilt properties and properties such as detached garages. Therefore 3  rates apply.

The Belastingsamenwerking Gemeenten en Waterschappen (BsGW) carries out tax matters for the municipality of Weert. Check the website for more information.

For an overview of the costs, see: this webpage of the BsGW.

Do you disagree with the sewage charge? You can object via  Belastingsamenwerking Gemeenten en Waterschappen (BsGW).
