Municipality of Rijssen-Holten: paying the sewage charge
Please note: you only have to pay rioolheffing (sewage charge) if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.
The following rates apply:
Every household, company or institution that uses the sewer must pay sewerage charges. We use the money that the municipality receives through this tax to maintain the municipal sewer system.
- For wastewater of 500m3 or less: €179
For each additional unit of 100m3 waste water:
- Per unit above 500 to 5000 m3: € 94,33
- Per unit above 5,000 up to and including 10,000 m3: € 77,58
- Per unit above 10,000m3: € 37,04
Payment
I want to receive the assessment digitally
If you want to receive the municipal assessment digitally, you can register on MijnOverheid. You will then receive the assessment with the WOZ assessment, real estate tax and waste and sewerage levy via MijnOverheid.
Paying on time
Pay on time to avoid having to pay extra charges.
Exemption
Are you unable to pay municipal taxes on time? Then you can request a payment arrangement. We recommend that you do this as soon as possible after receipt of the assessment. Please contact us.
Are you unable to pay the municipal taxes? Then you may be eligible for a waiver. In that case, you do not have to pay the taxes or only partially. The municipality takes your income, expenses and possessions into account. More information about applying for a remission can be found in the explanation request form for a remission .
Do you disagree with the charge? Then you can object. We recommend that you first contact the tax authorities. Have you not reached an agreement with one of our employees and do you still want to object? Then you can object within 6 weeks of the date of the assessment or decision.
Make a written objection
You can also object in writing. Make sure that you send your notice of objection to the municipality of Rijssen-Holten within 6 weeks of the date stated on the assessment, for the attention of the municipal levies employee. In any case, mention:
- name and address;
- date of the notice of objection;
- to which you object;
- why you object;
- your signature;
- the telephone number where you can be reached during the day.
