Municipality of Oosterhout: paying the sewage charge
Please note: you only have to pay rioolheffing (sewage charge) if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.
In determining the sewage charge, the municipality does not make any distinction between the owner and the user. Account is taken of how much water you consume on an annual basis. One sewage rate applies.
The following rates apply:

Payment
Everyone who lives in Oosterhout pays municipal taxes. You'll receive a bill for municipal taxes every year (usually in February). This bill is called an assessment. The assessment shows how much you pay for each tax. You'll receive the assessment from the West Brabant Tax Cooperation Belastingsamenwerking West-Brabant (BWB).
Paying on time
Pay on time to avoid having to pay extra charges.
Exemption
Are you short on cash? Then you can apply for a waiver. This means you don't have to pay certain taxes. Whether you receive a waiver depends on your income, assets, and savings. You can apply for a waiver through the Belastingsamenwerking West-Brabant (BWB)
Do you disagree with the sewage charge? Then file an objection within six weeks via the Belastingsamenwerking West-Brabant (BWB)
