Municipality of Noordwijk: paying the sewage charge

The sewage charge is included in the municipal tax bill. Belastingen Bollenstreek will send you the municipal tax bill stating the amount of the sewage charge. It will also state how and by what date you must pay. View for contact details the Dutch-language website belastingenbollenstreek.nl.

Rates

In determining the sewage charge, the municipality makes a distinction between the owner of the property and a high-volume user. Users who use more than 300 cubic meters of water on an annual basis pay a user component. In addition, there is a rate for properties that do not drain wastewater.

The following 3 rates apply:

• Owner: € 209,38.
• Owner, that do not drain wastewater: € 46,13.
• High-volume user (until maximum € 2.750,-):  € 0,28 per cubic meter.

Relief

You can ask Belastingen Bollenstreek whether you are entitled to an exemption for paying part of the charge. That exemption is referred to as kwijtschelding. Whether you are entitled to an exemption depends on your personal situation. You can apply for an exemption online at Belastingen Bollenstreek (in Dutch). You need DigiD to do this.
