Municipality of Nederweert: paying the sewage charge
What are the costs?
If you own a house or business that is directly or indirectly connected to the sewerage system, you pay a sewerage charge. Tenants do not receive a sewerage tax assessment. The rate is € 288.76. A reduced rate of € 28.88 applies to built-up plots of which the WOZ value is less than € 25,000.00 and of which only rainwater is discharged.

How does it work?
The sewerage charge is levied on the owner of a plot that is directly or indirectly connected to the municipal sewerage system. The tax liability is determined on January 1 of the tax year. A sale in the course of the year has no consequences for the amount of the sewerage charge. Incidentally, it is customary for the notary to settle this levy with the new owner in the event of a sale.
The levy is levied at a fixed amount per parcel.
