Municipality of Midden-Delfland: paying the sewage charge
Sewage charge is a tax for households and companies that discharge water directly or indirectly into the municipal sewerage system.
Who pays sewerage charges?
Every user of a property pays sewerage charges. It does not matter how much waste water is discharged. There are homes and (horticultural) businesses in the outlying area that do not have a connection to the municipal sewerage system. These are known to the municipality and do not receive a sewerage tax assessment.

I no longer live in the municipality of Midden-Delfland. Do I not have to pay now?
No, you pay for the period you have lived in Midden-Delfland. If you move to another municipality during the year, the assessment you received at the beginning of the tax year will be reduced. The municipality uses the data from the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP) for this. It is important that you register in time with your new municipality.
